Queen’s Park is inviting long-term care homes to request funding to help hire more nurse practitioners. program was announced in 2021. The aim is to hire up to 225 nurses practitioners across the province over the next three years.

Nurse practitioners are registered nurses with university training who can help develop a resident’s care plan. Facilities can request a share of the provincial funds to pay for the salary and benefits of a new hire.
