Stampeders Notes: Tre Odoms-Dukes looking to build CFL

Odoms-Dukes is back on the Stampeders’ active roster for Friday’s game against the Hamilton Tiger-Cats Jorden’s injury has opened up an opportunity for him, and the Stamps need him to take advantage. Leading receiver Malik Henry will also be out of Friday’s game — he’s replaced by Shawn Bane — and getting a big game out of Odoms-Dukes would certainly help reduce the burden on Reggie Begelton.

Odoms-Dukes certainly wouldn’t be the only rookie American receiver to step in and make a big impact in the back half of a season in recent memory. That means Friday’s game and their back-to-back against the Saskatchewan Roughriders to close out the regular season have massive implications.“You’ve got to love the pressure. Pressure makes diamonds,” Odoms-Dukes said. “I’m not afraid of the moment, I’ve been preparing. I’m ready.”For the first time all season, the Stampeders will be starting the exact same group of starters in their defensive backfield for two games in a row.
