Stampeders Notes: Thornton, Bell step up in competition at left tackle CFL

“We’re going to talk that one out, but I think both guys have stepped up their game this week and we’re going to need that.” Thornton hasn’t played since Week 11 against the Toronto Argonauts, but said Wednesday he’d been working on improving and was feeling fresh and healthy, which is rare for an offensive lineman at this point in the season.
