SSS: Pensioners 13th month, year-end benefits to be released first week of December

ICYMI: The Social Security System will release the 13th-month benefits and the monthly pension of its eligible members by first week of December to allow people to withdraw the money ahead of the holiday rush.

The first batch of the release of pensions would start on December 1, SSS said.

“Since December 4, 2022, falls on a Sunday, pensioners who are set to receive their pensions on the said date can expect that these will be credited to their account starting on the last working day before it, which is December 2, 2022,” SSS said. According to Regino, the practice is part of SSS thanking pensioners for their support during their working years.
