CEBU CITY – A son of a construction worker from Dalaguete town, Cebu topped the April 2024 Registered Electrical Engineers Licensure Examination.
Raymond Omboy Geoman, a graduate of the Cebu Institute of Technology-University , had the highest passing rate with 95 percent.“Mixed feelings, it has not sunk in yet. I can say to myself that I had enough preparations but I did not expect to land on Top 1 given that this board exam is full of potential topnotchers,” Geoman said in Cebuano during an interview with local radio station dyLA.“I am super thankful that I was able to get this achievement.
Another graduate of a Cebu-based university was also in the Top 10. John Glenn Madrid Jacob, who graduated from the University of Cebu in Lapu-Lapu and Mandaue , was third with 94.10 percent. According to the Professional Regulation Commission, 4,436 out of the 7,006 examinees passed the exam.
