Demand has gone up, especially for help buying food, and the Transition House, which advocates for and supports women and their families fleeing intimate partner violence, had to limit the Christmas program to clients from the past couple of years. Those donations will be needed in the hard months of January, February and March as people struggle with such things as soaring heat bills.
