Solons hail SC move to allow live media coverage of Maguindanao case decision

Members of the House of Representatives lauded the Supreme Court (SC) Tuesday for granting media’s appeal for them to allow the live coverage of the promulgation of the decision on the decade-old Maguindanao massacre case.

Deputy Speaker Mikee Romero and Representative Nina Taduran said the High Court made the right decision to allow the public to follow on national media coverage the events that will unfold at the Dec. 19 event.

Romero also lauded Judge Jocelyn Solis-Reyes of the Quezon City Regional Trial Court for her “rare display of courage and for her determined bid” to resolve the celebrated case.
