Solon suggests P2,000 SRP for swab tests
“Based on prevailing prices, I am suggesting that an affordable rate would be P2,000. The results should be available in 24 hours,” Castelo said, referring to reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction tests.
Based on information she received, Castelo said the cost of RT-PCR tests range from P3,500, which is the price the Philippine National Red Cross charges, to a high of P12,500, the rate some private hospitals impose for their drive-through service, which produces results in 24 hours.
