BACOLOD CITY – A social media post seeking the assistance of netizens in finding a five-year-old girl led to her safe rescue hours here after she was reported missing in Talisay City, Negros Occidental on Monday afternoon, July 1.

Police Lt. Liza Fe Vingco, head of Women and Children’s Protection Desk in this city, said that authorities located the girl after she was seen by a concerned citizen near a convenience store in Barangay Villamonte on Monday night.

The video captured a group of persons who mobbed three individuals with the child. The suspects were taken to Police Station 4.
