Smokes_Giving raised about $5,400, with all proceeds going toward the planning project. The Jagts consider it an investment in their community and may hold similar fundraisers in the future. He said the campaign would likely run for a few years because of the project's scope. Members will be collecting donations from individuals and businesses and will work to leverage contributions from all levels of government.

“Whether it’s inconvenient or not, we need to acknowledge that climate change is a reality,” he said. “This is a perfect example of how a local business here in the harbour has said this is important to us, and therefore we are going to make it a priority as a member of the community,” Miles said. He said he believes in leading by example, so Miles and his wife have made a commitment to donate a certain amount to the project every year for the next five years. He hopes others will make a similar commitment.https://www.hallsharbour.org/2-uncategorised/11-hall-s-harbour-community-development-associationEngineering by Houghton president Daniel Houghton, Cameron Seafoods Ltd.
