SANTA CRUZ, Laguna — San Miguel Corp. (SMC) President Ramon Ang and Laguna Gov. Sol Aragones have agreed to collaborate to find a solution to the province’s long-standing flooding problem — without any cost to the government.

SANTA CRUZ, Laguna — San Miguel Corp. President Ramon Ang and Laguna Gov. Sol Aragones have agreed to collaborate to find a solution to the province’s long-standing flooding problem — without any cost to the government.Ang and Aragones met on Monday, along with Biñan City Rep. Arman Dimaguila, a longtime environmental advocate.The provincial government aims to develop a sustainable and effective flood management plan with support from the private sector.

“We will work closely together to gradually resolve this flooding issue.”While specific details of the proposed solution have yet to be disclosed, Ang assured that SMC is ready to provide technical and financial assistance without burdening the provincial government’s funds.SMC has initiated dredging and desilting operations in Metro Manila, Laguna, Bulacan and Pampanga under its “Better Rivers” program since 2020.
