Flooding due to torrential rains resulted in heavy traffic in the South Luzon Expressway (SLEX)-Alabang area, according to the Office of Civil Defense (OCD) on Thursday.
In its 2 p.m. bulletin, the OCD said Metro Manila is experiencing light to moderate with occasional heavy rains due to the low pressure area which leads to flooding in areas prone to this hazard.
“The flooding receded around 10:00 AM; however, localized flooding at the gutter level persisted in certain areas,” it added. A knee-deep flood was reported in Sun Valley, Parañaque, which was not passable to all types of vehicles as of 7:55 a.m., the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority said in a Facebook post.
