Durham Regional Police say Ontario's Special Investigations Unit is investigating after a 36-year-old man was left with serious injuries following a collision in Pickering Monday morning. Durham Regional Police said on Twitter the collision left one male with serious injuries, while a second male left the scene and is currently outstanding. Brock Road from Bayly Street to Plummer Street will remain closed while the SIU investigates, police add.
The SIU is called to investigate the conduct of officers that may have resulted in serious injury, sexual assault, the discharge of a firearm or civilian death.
