TROPICAL Cyclone Wind Signals were raised in various parts of Northern Luzon on Thursday, July 24, 2025, as Severe Tropical Storm “Emong” maintains its strength before its expected landfall over the Ilocos region.In an update, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said Emong may pass close to Pangasinan on Thursday afternoon and may make landfall over Ilocos Region Thursday night or early Friday morning, July 25.
3 in the northern portion of Pangasinan, which includes the municipalities of Anda, Bolinao and Bani; and the western part of La Union such as the localities of Luna, Balaoan, Bacnotan, San Juan, City of San Fernando, Bauang, Caba and Bangar.These areas are forecast to experience strong-force winds within the next 18 hours, with wind speeds ranging from 89 to 117 km/h, posing a moderate to significant threat to life and property.The following areas were placed under TCWS No.
