SIBOL’s League of Legends: Wild Rift squad has managed to secure a gold medal in the 32nd Southeast Asian Games in Cambodia.The gold medal marks a redemption for SIBOL’s unfortunate 31st SEA Games run that saw the previous representatives goPrior to their gold medal match, SIBOL had already defeated Vietnam, who previously took the 31st SEA Games gold medal, 3-2 in the lower bracket finals.
As fate would have it, SIBOL and Vietnam booked a rematch in the grand finals after the latter defeated Singapore in a 3-0 sweep.SIBOL had a great start in their grand finals bout against Vietnam as they took the first two games, owing their success to respective game MVPs Golden “Unfortunately, SIBOL blundered in Game 3 which allowed Vietnam to avoid getting swept 3-0 in the grand finals. Thankfully, SIBOL picked themselves up come the fourth game and closed it out 19-8 to win the gold medal.
