Pilipinas Shell is making significant strides in the transition to sustainable mobility by adding new charging stations to its network. In collaboration with Ortigas Land Corporation , Shell is reinforcing its commitment to reducing carbon emissions in the Philippines. The latest initiative involves the installation of Shell Recharge Stations at Estancia Mall, Greenhills-Connecticut Arcade, and Greenhills-Missouri.
The three mall-based charging stations in Metro Manila feature a total of 10 charging points, enhancing the convenience and accessibility of electric vehicle charging in the area. These additions complement the existing ultra-rapid charging stations at Shell TPLEX La Union and Shell SLEX Mamplasan. With this expanded network, EV drivers can enjoy worry-free e-mobility whether they are traveling long distances or driving within the city.
The partnership between Shell and OLC is a strategic one, as it combines Shell’s global expertise in EV charging and mobility with OLC’s reputation as a developer of well-received, strategically located malls. By embracing emerging technologies and anticipating the future needs of their customers, OLC is playing a vital role in promoting sustainable practices.
With the addition of the three mall-based charging stations, the Shell Recharge network now consists of six sites. The stations at Shell TPLEX in Rosario, La Union, and Shell Mamplasan create a 700 km loop for EV owners, enabling them to venture beyond Metro Manila. The new sites are strategically located to serve residents of the National Capital Region and neighboring provinces.
Shell’s expansion of its EV charging network reflects its commitment to promoting sustainable mobility and reducing carbon emissions in the Philippines. With more accessible and convenient charging options, EV owners can confidently embrace electric transportation and contribute to a greener future.
