Cagayan Valley, Apayao, and Ilocos Norte will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the shear line or the line where northeasterly wind flow and easterlies meet. Caraga, Northern Mindanao, and Eastern and Central Visayas will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the ITCZ or the area where winds from the northern and southern hemisphere meet.
Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies or the warm winds from the Pacific Ocean, and localized thunderstorms.PAGASA said the LPA it is monitoring was located as of 3 a.m. at 970 km east of Guiuan, Eastern Samar and is embedded along the ITCZ affecting Mindanao.
The LPA is expected to get nearer to the Mindanao area, possibly Caraga or the Davao Region, according to GMA resident meteorologist Nathaniel "Mang Tani" Cruz on GMA News' Unang Balita on Monday.Coastal waters, meanwhile, will be moderate to rough throughout the country.
