In a statement on Sunday, November 10, the DOH said it is working with local government units in areas expected to be hit by Nika to evacuate pregnant women in their third trimester, lactating mothers, young children, seniors, and persons with disabilities. Pregnant women at risk of complications will also be prioritized at health facilities, the DOH said.
