NEARLY P290 million in cash aid and services were given to around 30,000 residents in Cagayan de Oro during the two-day Bagong Pilipinas Service Fair held on Thursday and Friday.Speaker Martin Romualdez opened the service caravan at the Dr. Ricardo Rotoras Memorial Hall of the University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines in Cagayan de Oro on Thursday. He was joined by Cagayan de Oro Representatives Lordan Suan and Rufus Rodriguez.
During the fair, 213 services from 38 government agencies were offered to the beneficiaries amounting to P286 million, of which P180 million were in form of cash assistance.Included in the program was the payout of Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situations aid to 26,000 beneficiaries worth P168 million, as well as distribution of 200,000 kilograms of rice.
