A serial rapist is terrorizing a barangay in Cotabato, entering homes naked and assaulting women. The suspect, who covers his face, remains at large despite numerous attacks.
Women in a barangay in President Roxas, Cotabato , are having trouble sleeping soundly due to a serial rapist who enters homes naked and with a face covering during the late hours. Who is this man, and will he ever be caught? In the recent episode of 'Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho,' the show received a message from a resident of Barangay Labu-o to report on the serial rapist who is suspected to have entered over 20 homes and touched the women inside, but hasn't been caught.
The suspect, who is often naked, sometimes wears a bonnet so only his eyes can be seen, or he is suspected to wear a wig, making his hair long and obscuring his face. The serial rapist is able to enter homes because many houses in the barangay are still under construction, don't have walls, or have doors made of light material. One of the victims, who was referred to as 'Hope,' said she woke up around 4:00 am when she felt someone holding her face and kissing her. When she opened her eyes, she saw the naked suspect with a bonnet on, motioning for her to be quiet. However, she screamed and called for help, causing her housemates to come out, but the suspect quickly escaped. There are also reports of a pair of sisters who were entered their home by the suspect and lay beside them on the bed and hugged one of them. Thankfully, their grandmother, who was going to the bathroom at the time, saw the suspect and he quickly escaped. Another woman also had the suspect enter her home, and the victim screamed, prompting her mother to come to her aid. But the suspect was surprisingly fast and managed to escape. Because of this incident, the barangay guards are patrolling the area at night, though they are unable to install CCTV cameras due to financial constraints
