Senate suspends consideration of proposed P5.768-T 2024 budget

There was no mention of either confidential funds or intelligence funds for the Department of Education (DepEd).

MANILA - The Philippine Senate on Tuesday suspended consideration of the House Bill 8980 under Committee Report 155 or the proposed 2024 General Appropriations Bill worth P5.768 trillion.In his sponsorship speech, Senator Sonny Angara, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Finance said, they are setting aside P21 billion for the NDRRM Fund, formerly known as the calamity fund.
