Former Philippine National Police chief Rodolfo Azurin is off the hook in the alleged coverup on the seizure of a P6.7-billion worth "shabu" in Sta,Cruz, Manila last year.
This, as dela Rosa closed his committee hearing an alleged attempt to cover up Mayo who was arrested for possession of the shabu shipment last October. In today’s hearing, Geronimo said he did not include the name of Mayo when he reported the shabu seizure incident to Azurin because his men wanted to use Mayo in follow up operations to bag bigger ‘shabu’ shipments but this did not happen and Mayo had already been charged.
