The Department of Education said that schools will not be allowed to be used as vaccination centers or hubs during the period of the “Bakunahang Bayan” drive to start on Monday, Dec. 5.
In the said order, DepED said that all its schools “cannot be used as vaccination centers or hubs” and there will also be “no cancellation or suspension of classes in schools” during the vaccination drive set from Dec. 5 to 7, 2022. While schools cannot be used as vaccination centers, DepED said that the Regional Directors, Schools Division Superintendents, and DepEd attached agencies should coordinate with their DOH counterparts in the scheduling of their personnel for the “Bakunahan Bayan” vaccinations which can be conducted in the Central Office , Regional Offices , Schools Division Offices , and DepEd attached agencies.
