The Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO) in Jeddah in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) has announced the suspension of admission of female overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) in the Bahay-Kalinga to abide by health protocols set by the Kingdom.
The Philippine Overseas Labor Office in Jeddah in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has announced the suspension of admission of female overseas Filipino workers in the Bahay-Kalinga to abide by health protocols set by the Kingdom., the POLO in Jeddah said it has suspended the admission of female OFWs in Bahay-Kalinga starting October 14, 2021.
The move is in compliance with the health protocols set by the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. “We are suspending the admission of female OFWs being surrendered by their employees due to health and safety concerns,” the advisory read. Employers of concerned OFWs were directed to content the Foreign Recruitment Agency of the worker to provide the needed accommodation.
The POLO likewise directed agency owners and their liaison officers to be proactive in addressing the concerns of their workers.
