KUCHING: Sarawak is set to host an international conference exploring the roles and impact of Chinese Muslims in embracing the future.
Organised by the Malaysia Chinese Muslim Association , the International Chinese Muslim Conference will take place here on Aug 18-20, with Sarawak Premier Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg expected to officiate it.
"We believe this conference will contribute to strengthening interfaith cooperation and promoting peace, harmony and prosperity among people of all faiths and backgrounds. The conference is expected to draw participants from Singapore, China, Brunei, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Thailand and Taiwan, including representatives from government, academia and civil society organisations.
