VICE President Sara Duterte-Carpio is the country's caretaker while President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. is in Malaysia for a three-day state visit.
This was confirmed to reporters on Tuesday by Presidential Communications Secretary Cheloy Garafil.The President is set to leave Manila for Malaysia on Tuesday afternoon.Foreign Affairs spokesman Teresita Daza had said that Marcos had been invited by Malaysian King Al-Sultan Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah on a state visit.
'Daza said Marcos will also meet with Filipino and Malaysian business leaders to explore possible bilateral trade investments and economic opportunities.'While in Malaysia, the President will have the opportunity to meet with the Filipino community living there and to personally inform them of the administration's plans and programs for overseas Filipinos,' she said.The visit coincides with the Philippines and Malaysia's 60th diplomatic anniversary.
