San Miguel suffered another defeat in the East Asia Super League ( EASL ), falling to the Hong Kong Eastern 71-62. Despite nearly overcoming a 20-point deficit, the Beermen ran out of steam in the fourth quarter, leaving them winless at 0-3 in Group A. June Mar Fajardo led San Miguel with 19 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 blocks, but the team struggled to maintain momentum after closing the gap to a single possession.
Torren Jones added 19 points and 11 rebounds, while Quincy Miller had a disappointing performance with only 5 points. Meanwhile, Meralco lost a heartbreaker to the Busan KCC Egis, blowing a double-digit lead in the final stretch. The Bolts fell 72-68 despite a strong start. Both teams will have another chance to compete in the EASL as well as during the PBA Commissioner's Cup
