The Mendiola crew left for the US on Wednesday and will stay there for two weeks before opening a new campaign in the NCAA, said team captain Peter Alfaro. While in the overseas camp, the Red Lions led by Alfaro, Yukien Andrada, and Jacob Cortez will figure in a series of tuneup games against several US NCAA Division 1 teams and other clubs in the country.San Beda, the winningest NCAA basketball team, is shifting its Season 99 preparations to a higher gear, especially after missing out two consecutive finals appearances in Seasons 97 and 98.
