"As these OFs reintegrate, we urge the government to provide immediate support. The Department of Health must ensure access to medical and psychological care, while the DMW and the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration should assist with financial aid, livelihood opportunities, and reintegration services," Salo said.

"We commend the Inter-Agency Council Against Trafficking for leading efforts to rescue and repatriate these OFs, alongside the Department of Foreign Affairs , the Department of Migrant Workers , Department of Justice , Bureau of Immigration , and all agencies involved," he said. Meanwhile, on the issue of human trafficking and illegal recruitment, Salo says there's a need to empower Filipinos to recognize the warning signs of human trafficking.
