Saint Anne College of Iloilo in Barangay Tabucan, Mandurriao district, Iloilo City will indefinitely close operations as a fallout of the COVID-19 pandemic, it announced on Saturday.
In a meeting on Thursday, June 4, the school's board of trustees unanimously approved to shut down the institution, which took effect June 5. College president Alma Natividad said Saint Anne was like many other schools, to which COVID-19 "brought untold difficulties." "We are saddened by this decision, but we discerned that this option will be for the good of SACI in particular and the community in general," Natividad said.
"We apologize to those who are affected either in your education or employment. We seek your understanding."The school offered courses such as Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Office Administration, and Accounting Technology.
