THE Road Transport Department is taking enforcement action on seven major traffic offences which are non-compoundable, in conjunction with the Hari Raya Aidilfitri festivities. Deputy Transport Minister Hasbi Habibollah said these seven offences are queue-cutting, overtaking on a double line, beating the red light, driving over the speed limit, using a mobile phone while driving, not wearing a seatbelt or helmet, and abuse of emergency lanes.
