Malacca police predict Raya traffic to top 81,000 vehicles
Malacca police chief Zainol Samah says he is also expecting nearly 50,000 vehicles to arrive in the state before Syawal. – The Malaysian Insight file pic, April 17, 2023.
He added that 48,930 vehicles are set to enter the state two days before Syawal and, as such, police will implement Ops Selamat 20 for eight days from April 20 to limit congestion. Zainol also said that 13 accident hotspots have been identified, with five of them in Melaka Tengah and four each in Alor Gajah and Jasin.
