Some P35,000 worth of suspected dried marijuana leaves were seized from a drug suspect whose nephew pointed him as a source of illegal drugs in Mandaluyong City on Wednesday night.
Authorities also recovered the marked money and several paraphernalia believed used to repack the contraband. Two men who were flagged down by the police in a checkpoint turned out to be thieves who robbed a coconut store in a Quezon Ciy market, police reported on Thursday. During the spot check, police said De Leon, who was driving the tricycle, failed to present a driver’s license or the Official Receipt/Certificate of Registration .
Police were able to recover the stolen wallet containing several IDs, cash, and the mobile phone worth P7,500. Investigation showed that the incident happened at about 11:00 a.m. along the stretch of Dona Soledad, Barangay Don Bosco, Paranaque City.
