MEGAWORLD Corp. reported earning P5 billion from January to March, up 10 percent from P4.55 billion a year earlier, bolstered by strong sales of its residential, mall and hotel businesses.
Attributable net income inched up 8 percent to P4.4 billion, while total revenues improved 16 percent to P19 billion amid solid results from core business segments, the property giant told the stock exchange on Thursday.'We started 2024 by consolidating our strength and forging stability for our core businesses as we look forward to many more opportunities for growth in the coming years,' said Kevin Tan, chief executive officer of Alliance Global Group, the parent firm of Megaworld .
1 billion on the back of strong bookings and unit take-up, while leasing revenues rose 6 percent to P4.6 billion.Megaworld Lifestyle Malls' revenues totaled P1.5 billion, 20 percent higher year on year, following increased tenant sales and higher occupancy of 93 percent.The property developer said the revenues of Megaworld Premier Offices reached P3.2 billion in the first quarter of the year.The hotel and resorts business, meanwhile, saw a 39-percent growth to P1.
