'Ang atin lang, rekomendasyon para ipakita ko naman na hindi ko sinayang ang 18 days na binigay sa akin,' Vice President and sacked anti-drug czar Leni Robredo says
Vice President Leni Robredo confirmed on Tuesday that she will release on December 16 her drug war findings and recommendations when she was cochair of the Inter-Agency Committee on Anti-Illegal Drugs .sacked by President Rodrigo Duterte.
"Ang atin lang, rekomendasyon para ipakita ko naman na hindi ko sinayang ang 18 days na binigay sa akin. Nakita niyo naman kung papaano ako nagtrabaho," she said in a chance interview. Duterte on November 28 dared Robredo to bare all information she may have gathered during her time as anti-drug czar as she""Walang dapat matakot. Nakakatawa na parang 'yung anticipation dito, nananakot ako. Wala naman tayong tinatakot," she said. She earlier said she decided to publicize her findings because the information helpful to improve the anti-drug operations are left untouched on Duterte's desk.
Robredo said she has sent two recommendations to Duterte in her two weeks as the co-chair of the Inter-agency Committee on Anti-Illegal Drugs. She said she submitted her third report, despite being fired by Duterte into her 19th day in office. But she said that according to Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo, the reports remain unread.
She was fired from her post on November 24 — less than three weeks after Duterte appointed her. He said she was sacked for speaking with foreign groups and asking for the scope of her powers.
