MV Stella Del Mar, which is being operated by Starlite Shipping, accidentally rammed into an unidentified motorbanca around 2 p.m., according to a report from the Coast Guard Station Batangas. The incident occured off Matuco Point, approximately 500 meters from the shoreline of Brgy. Pagkilatan. According to PCG, the ro-ro vessel came from Calapan Port in Oriental Mindoro and was on its way to Batangas Port when the incident happened.Photos and videos circulating on social media showed the motor banca was completely destroyed due to the impact of the collision.An investigation was underway to determine the exact cause of the collision.
