As the tourism sector of the country slowly recovers from the adverse economic effects of the Covid-19 pandemic, the province of Rizal continues to boost its identity as one of the Philippine’s top tourist destinations.
During the recently concluded North Luzon Travel Fair spearheaded by the Department of Tourism in partnership with the Tourism Promotions Board and the Subic Clark Alliance Development Corporation, the province was given the opportunity to showcase its various delicacies and produce, as well as its breathtaking tourist sites to the public. These include the suman and kasoy of Antipolo City, Carika dolls of Baras, and the elegant lanterns of Taytay.
After the fair, the participants had simultaneous post-event familiarization tours to Ilocos Region , Cagayan Valley , Central Luzon , and the Cordillera Administrative Region , extending the benefits of the tourism value chain to the local communities, stakeholders, and destinations of Northern Luzon.
