Netizens on social media were quick to heap praises on Senate Deputy Minority Leader Risa Hontiveros after her committee unmasked the real identity of suspended Bamban, Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo whose fingerprints matched to that of ‘Guo Huaping,’ a Chinese national.
On Wednesday, Hontiveros revealed that the National Bureau of Investigation has a separate record of someone named ‘Alice Leal Guo’ from Tarlac, who strangely has the exact same birthdate as the mayor. The senator said this revelation is a “big insult” to the voters of Bamban, government institutions, and to every Filipinos. She noted this is the most damning evidence that could warrant the expulsion of Mayor Guo from her office.
