Thus, BYD Philippines’ launch of the compact Seagull EV aims to make electric mobility more accessible. Designed as a compact, budget-friendly electric vehicle, the Seagull targets first-time EV buyers.
One of the standout features of the Seagull is its compact design that is ideal for tight, urban environments. Its dimensions are optimized for maneuverability in crowded city streets while still providing adequate interior space for comfort. The undeniable Lamborghini-inspired design also shatters the mold of current whimsical and quirky urban mini-EVs.
Under the hood, the Seagull is powered by a 30kWh battery, delivering a range of up to 300 kilometers according to the NEDC cycle. While real-world conditions may affect this range, it is adequate for daily commutes and short road trips. The motor produces 75-PS and 135-Nm of torque, providing a responsive and agile driving experience. The Seagull is quick off the line, accelerating from 0 to 50 km/h in just 4.9 seconds, making it ideal for urban stop-and-go traffic.
