The Philippine Air Force has recognized the service and contributions of its reservists to nation-building during the Annual PAF Reservists’ Recognition Day held at the Villamor Air Base Golf Course on May 11, 2024.
The convention served as a platform for collaboration, bringing together Reservists from Air Force Wing Reserves and PAF Auxiliary Reserve Units. It also featured discussions on the latest Reserve Force Development plans and programs, ensuring they remain prepared and integrated into the PAF’s overall strategy. Also, 27 newly Commissioned Reserve Officers officially joined the ranks of the PAF Reserve Force.
PAF commander Lt. Gen. Stephen Parreño led the conferral of the Distinguished Laang Kawal Awards and Special Recognition Awards to deserving Reservists and Reserve Units that significantly contributed to PAF’s overall accomplishments. In his remarks, Parreño conveyed his profound gratitude to all Air Force reservists for their steadfast commitment and unwavering support in advancing the organization’s mission.This event, held as part of the pre-anniversary activities for the 77th PAF Founding Anniversary, was organized by the Air Force Reserve Command and the Office of the Assistant of Chief of Air Staff for Reservist and Retiree Affairs, OA-9.
