Drones and rescue crews are continuing to search for two workers trapped about 125 metres underground in a north-western Queensland mine.
“All we can say is we wish Godspeed on the rescue workers – they’ve got a really dangerous and difficult task,” Mr Campbell told Sky News Australia.
“We can take hope from what we’ve seen in the earthquake zones overseas, days after they’re being able to rescue people alive and well. “125 metres underground where it’s pitch black, there’s not much space, everything’s reasonably confined, dealing with heavy machinery, it’s a really difficult task but these rescue crews are highly trained.”
