The Philippine Embassy in Tel Aviv is looking into reports that a Filipino woman has died amid the conflict in Southern Israel.
Citing the embassy update at 4 p.m. , the Department of Foreign Affairs said the woman was earlier reported missing one of the attacked kibbutzim. According to a 24 Oras report by Ivan Mayrina on Tuesday, Consul General Anton Mandap said that a body would be tested for DNA to determine its real identity.
The embassy’s labor attache and welfare officer are now heling the sister of the said Filipina in confirming the report with the Israel police. The DFA said the embassy said confirmed that one more missing Filipino had been accounted for, reducing the number of missing Filipinos to six. “Coordinating with Israeli authorities and local contacts, the embassy is exhausting all available means to ascertain the condition of the still missing Filipinos,” the DFA said.
