Dennis AbrinaIMUS CITY—Provincial Governor Jonvic Remulla led the opening of the 1st AJAA Invitational SoftBall Tournament at the Imus Grandstand and Track Oval in Malagasang 1-G, on Saturday.
Remulla, together with Imus City Mayor Alex ‘Double A’ Advincula and General Trias City Mayor Luis ‘Jon Jon’ Ferrer IV spearheaded the ceremonial pitch of the tourney composed of 6 cities and 3 towns. Remulla and Ferrer sponsored the cash prizes for the champion and 1st to 3rd runners-up for a total of P500,000.The champion team will receive P180,000, while the 1st runner-up getsP150,000.The next five teams will receive P50,000 each as consolation prizes.
The entry teams are Bacoor Strikers, Imus Sluggers, Batang GenTri, Dasma Monarch, Unlad Cavite City, Trece ‘The Martyrs’, Tanza Mariners, Batang Alfonso and Unlad Noveleta of Mayor Dino Chua.
