Fish brokers and vendors check on fresh harvest that arrive in the fish port of Rosario, Cavite. The provincial government expects to restore the vitality of the fish industry after the Department of Agriculture announced that fish products caught in Cavite are already safe for human consumption.

Remulla, meanwhile, clarified that only the fish are safe to eat. Other seafood products or shellfish such as clams , mussels , and oysters are still going through further testing. The Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources previously cleared the fish products caught in the provinces of Bataan, Pampanga, Bulacan and the National Capital Region on August 13, 2024.
