Film producer Lily Monteverde, better known as Mother Lily, passed on just six days after the death of her husband, Remy Monteverde, who died on July 29.
Mother Lily, who would have turned 86 on Aug. 19, is known as one of the first female film producers in the country.
Mother Lily has been recognized with numerous accolades, including the Lifetime Achievement Awards from the Cinemanila International Film Festival and the Film Development Council of the Philippines , the Manuel de Leon Award for Exemplary Achievement, the Gawad Lino Brocka Lifetime Achievement Award, and the Fernando Poe Jr. Lifetime Achievement Award.
