The 67th Blood Collecting Unit of the Philippine Red Cross (PRC), which will cater to around 500, 000 Marikina City residents, was opened on Friday afternoon
PRC Chairman Richard Gordon said that the new unit is located in Barangay Sto. Niño, Marikina.
“The opening of our new facility is very timely since there is a great need of blood supply due to dengue outbreak. We want our blood stations to be accessible to everybody to save more lives,” he said. According to the PRC chairman, the three-story Blood Collecting Unit was established through the help of our donors – Engineers Alejandro V. Gervacio and Grace A. Gervacio, Mr. and Mrs. Antonio Andres, Mr. and Mrs. Antonio Santos, Firebird Foundation, Inc., and Congressman Bayani Fernando.
