Ramadan bazaar traders in JB are encouraged to collect their used cooking oil for recycling as an eco-friendly measure.

Johor Baru City Council mayor Datuk Mohd Noorazam Osman said organisers and traders at all 51 bazaar locations within its jurisdiction could participate in a used cooking oil collection programme.

“Information about the collection schedule, pricing and contractors involved can be found on the council’s website and social media channels,” he told the MBJB full board meeting here yesterday. He also encouraged traders to offer Menu Rahmah items to ease the burden on the less fortunate when they break their fast.“Traders should sell quality, healthy and reasonably-priced food and beverages to make Johor Baru an attraction for tourists during festive seasons,” he said.
