Global smartphone manufacturer realme, in partnership with the Make-A-Wish Foundation, has fulfilled the dreams of 15 children battling severe illnesses by presenting each with a realme pad on Wednesday, September 18, at the Space and Time Cube in Pasay City.
“Make-A-Wish Foundation can only do what we do through the support of sponsors, corporate partners, and individual donors. Our goal is to inspire these kids with hope, strength, and joy so they can remain positive despite their medical condition,” Aleah Ortiz, the Executive Director of Make-A-Wish Philippines told BusinessMirror.
According to Ortiz, the foundation grants wishes to children aged 3 to 17 who are battling critical illnesses such as cancer, heart conditions, kidney disorders, or genetic diseases. The foundation collaborates with hospitals nationwide, where medical staff or doctors refer patients for consideration. Referrals can also come from the children’s families, allowing the foundation to fulfill its mission of bringing transformative experiences to these young patients.
“The best moment is when you see the kids smile and be surprised when their wish is granted,” Ortiz said.
