Voice Referendum Working Group Member Thomas Mayo says the Liberal party should “reach” into their hearts instead of opposing the Voice to Parliament.
“It is something that is well overdue, it’s about time that we took a step to building a better relationship with Indigenous people,” he told Sky News Australia.
“Giving us what we’re asking for which is just to take responsibility for our own lives, for our own communities, and the only way we can take responsibility is to truly be heard.”
