In a disclosure on Tuesday, the Yuchengco-led lender said the amount was two times more than its initial target size of P3 billion because of strong demand from investors.RCBC Senior Executive Vice President and Treasurer Horacio Cebrero 3rd said this strongly indicated investors’ continued trust and confidence in the bank.

Proceeds from the issuance would go to support the growth of its assets and further strengthen its liability structure. In February 2019, the bank issued the first P15-billion Asean green bonds. These were followed by its P8-billion and P7.5-billion Asean sustainability bond offerings in June and November 2019, respectively.
